    Family Excursion to the Geisterberg Alpendorf

    The Geisterberg Adventure Mountain in St. Johann in Pongau can be reached easily with the Alpendorf Gondola lift, which operates daily throughout the summer. There you will find 40 large and small play stations along the many hiking trails, most of which are suitable for strollers. Highlights on the Gernkogel in St. Johann are the Geisterberg Castle, the Geisterberg Village, the Water World, climbing towers, swings and numerous slides. The Geisterberg Train, a tractor-pulled train, conveniently takes you part of the way from the mountain station of lift to the center of the Geisterberg Adventure Mountain. One-of-a-kind in the Salzburg region is Drachis Via Ferrata for teens & beginners. Securely connected to a steel cable and together with their parents, kids can climb the 40-meter-high Drachenwand rock wall on the Geisterberg. The necessary climbing equipment can be rented from the sports shop at the valley station of the lift.

    Fun and Adventure at Wagrainis Grafenberg

    The Grafenbergbahn gondola lift takes you directly from Wagrain up to the Wagrainis Grafenberg nature and mountain adventure world. The park impresses with countless oversized adventure play stations which have made it one of the most popular family excursion destinations in the Salzburg region. Once you have arrived up top, a giant inflatable bouncy cushion awaits you as right at the exit of the mountain station. Take the raft across the Lake Grafenberg or the Suspension Bridge to the Bee Trail, then continue down the HachauSlide into the Rope Garden. Skill and coordination are required on a variety of courses that will challenge your rope swinging and balancing skills. And just because they are low to the ground in no way means that they are going to be easy! Then, it will be off to the Swing Forest, with its the Giant Swing and many more. Next stop – the Climbing Wall. Here routes with different difficulty levels - identified by the color of the hand grips - can be climbed on the boulder wall. Finally, stroll along the “Path of Fascination” which takes you past the Water Games park and back to the Farm. On the KUHbidu Adventure Trailh, you will find a variety of stations where you can discover interesting facts about cows.

    Family Highlights in Flachau

    Flachau, well known as a Mecca for winter sports, is also worth a visit in the summer months. Especially for families with children, this wonderful excursion destination in the Salzburg region has a lot to offer.

    You can take the two summer chairlifts Starjet 1 and Starjet 2 right from the center of town to reach the heights of Griessenkar mountain. Where skiers whiz down into the valley in the winter months, during the other three seasons an unmistakable natural landscape awaits you with unique mountain panorama views in the Hohe and Niedere Tauern areas. The Starjet 1 mountian station is also the starting point for the stroller-friendly Floris Adventure Path. Along the route, which can be comfortably completed in a walking time of about 1.5 to 2 hours, children and their parents can expect to find challenging puzzles as well as several adventure stations including the popular Flying Fox, a climbing wall and a nature cinema. Everyone who can correctly answer all questions along the adventure path can pick up a surprise gift from the Flachau tourist office.
